I have been in the building trades since 1980 after going through an
apprenticeship program in renovations with CETA (the Comprehensive Education and
Training Act) while living in Richmond, VA.
In between being a single mom and raising four children, I have been
involved in all aspects of rehabbing a home- from jacking up sagging
floor joists to tearing off and re-shingling roofs. However, painting
was always my favorite part of renovating a home because it was a
little more instantly gratifying, and I knew the job was coming to
completion.
When I moved back to my native New England in 1998, I met and married Neil Linsky, a master carpenter who has been in the trades for over 30 years. My husband and I worked together doing renovations for the next several years, until I decided I would like to just be in on the painting aspect of our jobs like the refurbishment we did on the Historical Weeks Brick House in Greenland, NH.
